Website Redesign

Your Business May Have Outgrown Its Website

If your current website looks dated, is difficult to use on a phone, contains old information, or simply no longer reflects the quality of your business, WestSideSite can help rebuild it.

Redesign projects are quoted based on scope. We start with a review of your current site, so you know what is worth keeping, fixing or replacing before you spend anything on a rebuild.

Signs a website needs more than a patch.

These are things you can see for yourself. If several sound familiar, a redesign is worth talking about.

Dated look

The design looks like it is from another era, or no longer matches the quality of your business.

Hard to use on a phone

Text is tiny, buttons are hard to tap, or you have to pinch and zoom.

Confusing navigation

Visitors cannot quickly find your services, hours or contact details.

Weak call to action

There is no clear next step: call, request a quote, visit, order.

Old information

Phone numbers, prices, hours, staff or services are out of date.

Inconsistent branding

Logo, colors and wording differ from your signs, cards and social pages.

Template leftovers

Placeholder text, stock photos or a theme that was never fully set up.

Slow or cluttered

Pages load slowly, or too much competes for attention.

Weak service presentation

What you actually do is buried or explained in vague terms.

Missing search basics

No useful page titles or descriptions, or headings that do not say what the page is about.

Redesign, or just patch the site you have?

Not every tired website needs a rebuild. A few fixes can be the right answer, and we will tell you so.

A rebuild makes more sense when the problem is the foundation: the layout cannot be fixed on phones, the structure fights what you want to say, or the site is built on something nobody can update.

Patch it when

  • The design is fine but some facts are out of date
  • Only a few pages or buttons are the problem
  • The site works well on a phone

Rebuild it when

  • The layout fails on phones and cannot be fixed
  • You have to change almost everything to say what you do now
  • Updating the site is difficult or impossible

How a redesign works with WestSideSite.

  1. Website review

We look at your current site, and you tell us what bothers you about it and what you want it to do.

  2. Scope and quote

We agree what is being rebuilt, what is reused, and the price. Nothing starts before you approve.

  3. Design and build

You see a direction first, then the full build.

  4. Review and launch

A person checks the site. We plan the switch from the old site before anything goes live.

Redesign is quoted by scope. Smaller redesigns may fit Guided Design or the Custom starting price. Larger ones, or ones with advanced features, are priced as a custom project.

Questions about redesigning a website.

When should I redesign instead of patching the current site?
Patch when the problems are small and the foundation is sound. Redesign when the site cannot work well on phones, is hard to update, or no longer fits what your business does. A review tells you which one you have.
Can you reuse the content from my current website?
Usually, yes. If the wording and photos are accurate, and you have the right to use them, we can carry them over and tidy them up. We would rather not make you pay to rewrite what already works.
What happens to my old website?
It stays live until the new one is reviewed and approved. We plan the switch with you so you are not left with a broken site in the middle.
Do I keep my domain?
Yes. Your domain is yours, and it is the address people already know. We connect the new site to it, and we confirm the details with you before anything is changed. Any registration or renewal is billed separately at the registrar's actual cost.
What happens to my old page addresses?
We look at which existing pages matter and talk with you about how to handle any address that will change, before the new site goes live.
Will a redesign increase my sales?
We cannot promise that, and no honest provider can. A clearer, easier-to-use site gives customers a better chance of finding what they need and getting in touch.
